Flood and landslide damage 13 houses in Kaski text size increase   text size decrease   Print    rss (२०७४ श्रावण २५, बुधवार)


Landslide and flooding triggered by heavy rain last night have damaged 13 houses at Rivan Lampata of Machhapuchchhre Rural Municipality in Kaski district.

However, there were no human casualties as the villagers, who were already in bed, evacuated to safer locations after getting information that a landslide was about to occur above their settlement, the District Police Office, Kaski stated.

The flood and landslide has swept away two motorable bridges on the road to Humdi from Rivan and electricity poles.

The houses of Devilal Lamichhane, Danda Bahadur B.K., Prabin Lamichhane, Ganga Bahadur B.K, Prem B.K, Rajman B.K., Dinanath Poudel, Kamala Pariyar, Nara Bahadur B.K. and Kaji B.K. have been rendered uninhabitable by the flood and landslide, it is learnt. RSS
