Newly-elected member of Provincial Assembly (B) of Solukhumbu, Buddehi Kumar Rajbhandari suggested that electricity should be supplied outside only after it is sufficient in Solukhumbu.

Addressing the 25th annual general meeting (AGM) of the Salleri Chyalsa Power Company Limited Solukhumbu on Thursday, he warned the under-construction hydro project of the company to not cherish dream of supplying power outside without first illuminating Solukhumbu.

Various power companies are constructing hydro projects to generate electricity in Solukhumbu – which has a wealth of water resource.

The AGM has elected a new leadership of the company with Dr Mingmar Gyaljen Sherpa the chair.

Other elected members in the board of director are Aangdami Sherpa and Dorji Sherpa.
