Kathmandu, Nepal – The meeting of the Constituent Assembly scheduled for Thursday has been postponed till Friday following assurances from lead political parties to resolve all disputes in the constitution writing process.
Todays CA session was scheduled to vote on the remaining contentious issues of constitution writing. Parties have already amended Article 70 of the constitution to pave way for the majority based voting to resolve contentions.
Prior to this the CA session has bee differed for three times in a row. However the understanding reached between lead parties on Thursday to form a national consensus government within two days and to resolve all disputed issues has changed the turbulent political scenario for the time being.
