KATHMANDU – A meeting of the Dispute Resolution Sub-committee under the Constitutional Committee decided to ask two days more to forge consensus on the disputed issues of the constitution writing.
According to Vice-president of the Nepali Congress, Ram Chandra Paudel, the meeting held at the Office of the State Affairs Committee in Singha Durbar today decided to ask additional two days to resolve the disputed issues as parleys among the political parties were underway to that end.
Paudel added today’s meeting slightly discussed the disputed issues including form of governance, state restructuring, among others.
He further added that bases for promulgating the new constitution was created adding that serious discussions among the parties was needed to resolve the disputed issues.
However, Chairman of Madhesi Janadhikar Forum Uprendra Yadav ruled out the possibilities of consensus among political parties despite discussions at the top leaders’ level.
Yadav claimed that conspiracies of the big three political parties has not ended and the new constitution will not be promulgated by May 27. RSS
