KATHMANDU – Lead political parties -UCPN-Maoist, Nepali Congress, CPN-UML– have intensified discussions with Samyukta Loktantrik Madheshi Morcha on the recent demands put forward by the later on state restructuring.
The meeting is being held at the PM’s residence in Baluwatar and is reportedly holding discussions on the demands put forward by the Morcha.
Among other demands the Morcha has been demanding that the recent three party understanding on 11 provinces be sracapped and that the nation be federalised either in ten or 14 states on the basis of identity and capacity.
On Thursday, the Morcha has issued threats to resign from the governemnt if their demands were not addressed.
Meanwhile the Tarai Madhes Loktantrik Party (TMLP) has decided to quit the government and launc agitation against the governemnt and decision back in the Madhesh region.
