KATHMANDU – Talks between National Muslim Struggle Coalition and the governemnt on Saturday failed to make headway. Both sides have departed with an agreement to hold another rounds of talks after holding internal discussions on the said demands.
Claiming that the government is positive towards the demands of the Muslim community, member of the government’s talk team, Barsha Man Pun stressed on the need to hold consultations with higher level for concluding the talks.
The Muslim Coalition which comprises 30 political, social and religious institutions of the Muslim community has demanded an unique identity of the Muslims in the new consitution.
Along with that they have also demanded for the formation of Constitutional Muslim Commission and that the federal should reflect the identity of the Muslims with restrcturing the nation. RSS
