Sitaula submits resignation letter to party prez

KATHMANDU – Nepali Congress leader and Deputy Prime Minister Krishna Prasad Sitaula submitted his resignation letter to party President Sushil Koirala on Thursday.

Sitaula was under pressure from his party to resign after the government registered amendment bill to extend the Constituent Assembly tenure by three more months against the will of the NC. On Wednesday, Sitaula had announced that he was no more in the current coalition government.

Sitaula was also bestowed the responsibility of the Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Law and Justice in the government. RSS
