Prakash Dahal atop Mt. Everest

Prakash Dahal, son of UCPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has successfully climbed Mt. Everest at 8:00 am this morning.

A 15-member team led by Prakash leading the Lumbini Mt. Everest Peace Campaign had left towards Mt. Everest with Lumbini’s soil and national flag one and a half months ago.

Team leader Prakash flew Nepal’s national flag and UCPN-Maoist flag on the summit, said former chairman of the Nepal Mountaineering Association Ang Chhiring Sherpa.

Those climbing today are team members Krishna KC, Yubaraj Dulal, Saral Poudel, Shiva Dangi, Maheswor Funyal, and Madan Chudal whereas other Sherpa assistants climbing Everest were Nimakanchha Sherpa, Furba Chhiring Sherpa, Pemba Chhiring Sherpa, Gyaljen Sherpa, Lakpanurbu Sherpa, Kaji Sherpa and Gyaljen Sherpa.

Ang Chhiring Sherpa told RSS that other nine climbers including four Indians also reached the Everest summit. RSS
