KATHMANDU – President Ram Baran Yadav and Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai held talks at the Rashtrapati Bhawan this morning.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Bhattarai stressed forging ahead by building a climate of consensus among the political parties.
“We should now move forward seeking the way of consensus as the constitution does not have a provision that says election to a new Constituent Assembly should be held after its dissolution,” the prime minister said.
He also said that he was making efforts towards creating an environment of national consensus by moving ahead building compromise among all the political parties, it is stated in the Prime Minister’s website.
The prime minister is also of the view that the President’s support would be required in his efforts.
In the meeting, the President stated that he would cooperate with the government, stressing that both the institutions should maintain constitutional decorum and move forward by forging consensus among the parties.
“I will also support you, in your capacity as the head of the government, by every means; proceed ahead by creating climate for national consensus. Both of us should move forward working through an understanding,” President Yadav said during the meeting. RSS
