KATHMANDU – Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum (Democratic), Bijay Kumar Gachchadar claimed that currently there was no constitutional alternative to holding fresh elections of the Constituent Assembly (CA).
Speaking at a press conference organized at the MJF-D party office, Sanepa, he reiterated the need to go for CA elections by forming the national consensus government under the leadership of incumbent Prime Minister Dr. Bhattarai.
Deputy Prime Minister Gachchhadar claimed the announcement of CA election for November 22 was the move to prevent the nation from sliding into constitutional vacuum at the eleventh hour, arguing the political parties having conviction in democratic system should not fear to go for people’s mandate.
