जेष्ठ २९ गते, २०६९ मा प्रकाशितILLAM – Three minors died at different places in Ilam district in a day as they drowned in two ponds and in a drum. Two-month old Hema Paudel, daughter of Narendra Paudel of Soyak-7, died after drowning in a drum at their courtyard when there was no body in the house.
Mother of the deceased fell unconscious after the incident and has been taken to Kankai Hospital, Jhapa for treatment. It was not known that who put the child in the drum, according to the District Police Office, Ilam.
Similarly, 18 months- old Pratik Rai of Chamaita-1 died today afternoon after he drowned in a pond of his own family. He drowned in the pond while he was playing near the pond.
Likewise, two-year old Kanchan Limbu, son of Ashish Limbu died this afternoon after drowning in a pond in Chulachuli-6.
He drowned in the pond at a time when there was nobody in the house.
The child died on the way to Lifeline Hospital, Damak, while being taken for treatment, according to Police-Inspector at the District Police Office, Ilam, Ganesh Banstola.
Meanwhile, in Sindhupalchok, a person died in a road accident at Ghatedanda of Tekanpur-1 in the district.
The deceased has been identified as Hari Krishna Shrestha, 51.
The accident took place when a motorcycle (Ba 19 Pa 8910) fell off the road while Shrestha was going to school from home, according to the Area Police Office, Barhabise. RSS
