Prachanda says discussions on constitution cant be started from level zero

 

KATHMANDU – Chairman of UCPN Maoist Puspa Kamal Dahal repented for not resolving issues related to federalism prior to the CA elections.

He claimed that a constitution with a provision of identity based federalism would have been secured if the issue was sorted out earlier.

Speaking at the mass meeting organized by his party in an apparent power show, he criticized the opposition party’s including that of RPP Nepal recently and claimed that today’s power show was just a trailer.

Stressing on the need to garner consensus among political parties, Prachanda said that as the largest party Maoist would be more responsible but claimed that other parties should be also equally responsible.

He called on political parties for discussion to find consensus from a whole new point and maintained that discussions on remaining issues of constitution won’t be started from zero.

He claimed that the discussions on resolving disputes on constitution should be furthered from the point as they were left from May 28.

Stating that today’s power show could be the launching of new Mahabharat he said that to stop or start the war was in the hands of other political parties. RSS
