KATHMANDU – Imprisoned Chairman of Madheshi Janadhikar Forum (Republican), Jaya Prakash Prasad Gupta has suggested that it was time for the Joint Democratic Madheshi Front to pull out from the government.
Gupta, who is presently in prison on corruption charges, said so in an interview with Rishi Dhamala.
He claimed that the there was no point for the JDMF to remain in the government and suggested that it should work to resolve political impasse.
Accusing the Madhesh based parties of being enmeshed in lust for power, Gupta advised that it was high time for the Madhesh based parties to actively involve in garnering consensus.
Stating that the recent statements of the Prime Minister were irresponsible, Gupta said that as a responsible person the PM should create cognizant environment for political consensus instead of complicating the political situation. REPORTERS CLUB NEPAL
