KATHMANDU – President of Rashtriya Janashakti Party (RJP) Kamal Thapa has claimed that the Kings return to the throne was inevitable.
Speaking at his party’s program in Kaski on Wednesday, Thapa said that the Nepalese people were frustrated by the inability of political parties to deliver the nation from impasse and therefore had called on the King to return.
“The people who had deposed the King through the great Janandolan, have called on the king for saving the nation after parties continuously robbed the nation’s treasury and pushed it towards division,” Thapa said on the occasion.
He claimed that the public has urged the King to ask political parties for detailing out the details of property which they have robbed from the nation’s treasury.
Thapa said that the King cannot be a mute spectator following the requests from the public during his recent religious tour across the nation.
He also accused Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai of issuing misappropriate statements by claiming that the government won’t be providing security to a citizen.
” A PM who does not wants to provide security to a citizen does not has the right to remain in power,” Thapa said referring to the PM’s recent warning to cut all state facilities, including security, to ex-King Gyanendra Shah.
He criticized the government for providing security and facilities worth millions of rupees to former VVIPs and warning to deprive those facilities to former head of the nation on the occassion.
