श्रावण ४ गते, २०६९ मा प्रकाशितSIRAHA: A total of 20 houses in Lahan Municipality-4 have been inundated due to incessant rainfall in the district. The houses have been inundated as the Municipality has not been able to manage drainages.
Houses of Rameshwor Yadav, Suratlal Chaudhary, Menuka Shah, Pramod Chaudhary, among others, were inundated.
A local Rajdev Mahato said that this situation comes every year as the Municipality did not pay attention on the problem though locals had frequently requested the Municipality to manage drainage system.
Around three dozen children of the inundated houses are not able to go to school. Likewise, Sagarmatha Orphanage was also inundated where there are 17 children.
According to operator of the Orphanage, Sunil Mahato, they have been facing problem to cook food as water entered into the kitchen. RSS
