NC Prez accuses Maoist of being reluctant to implement past agreements

KATHMANDU – Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala has accused the UCPN-Maoist of imposing totalitarianism by not implementing the past agreements.

Addressing the programme organised in Chunikhel in the capital today by the Nepali Congress Constituency No. 4 committee of Nepali Congress to mark the 30 th BP memorial day today, President Koirala said the constitution could not come on May 27 as the UCPN-Maoist wrongly interpreted the agreements from the 12 -point understanding upto the latest issue of state restructuring.

As problems could not be resolved even if the UCPN-Maoist and CPN-UML led the governments two times, now is the time for NC leadership in government, he said.

Central Member Suprabha Ghimire and Kathmandu NC President Bhimsen Das Pradhan said measures should be taken as per the policies of reconciliation to remove the present confusion.

Some 1,000 saplings were planted of various species at the programme chaired by Constituency President Nhuchchhe Narayan Shrestha. RSS
