Coalition partners slam Shrestha for his anti-government statements

KATHMANDU –  Ruling coalition partners UCPN Maoist and Joint Democratic Madheshi Front have sharply criticized the recent statement of Deputy Prime Minister Naryan Kaji Shrestha on correcting BIPPA and other controversial treaties at the Reporters Club Nepal.

Leaders from both sides criticized Kaji, who is also the vice chairman of the Maoist, for issuing anti-government comments appeasing the opposition at the meeting.

They termed the Kaji’s act as unethical and immoral and warned him for not repeating such an irresponsible act in the future.

Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai expressed his discontent to Kaji and said expressing such comments in the public would stain the partys and government’s public standing. RSS
