Chief Secy positive to provide permanent status to temporary, contract, wage labors

KATHMANDU –  All Nepal government temporary, contract and wage employee association has called on chief secretary Lilamani Paudel to provide permanent status to  all government  temporary, contract and wage employees through opening Public Service Commission.


A delegation of the union led by its Chairman Rajan Karki presented such a demand to the Chief Secretary along with other 9 point demands that stressed on refurbishing the bureaucratic mechanism.


The association has demanded for compulsory participation of all temporary, contract and wage employees in the civil service day program, automatic initiation of permanent status to any employee who has worked 240 days,  initiation of providing temporary status to any employee who has worked more than 180 days.


Similarly the memorandum has also demanded that the government stop recruiting employees on wage and contract basis.. Responding to the demands Paudel said that he was positive to their demands and would initiate process for providing permanent status to employees on the basis of civil service code. RSS
