Women slams lead party leaders for extending status quo

KATHMANDU – Women leaders have said leaders of main political parties disrespected the interim constitution and spirit of the people’s movement which led to the political imbroglio and questioned nationality.
 
 At an interaction on ‘nationality, political crisis and women’s role’ organized by the United Women’s Association here today, Association’s Chairperson Sita Subedi said the country was facing crisis because of the deferred constitution, spate of violence against women, price hike, corruption and bad governance.
 
 Similarly, Chairperson of All Nepal Women’s Association, Mina Pun, said the nationality was enfeebled because of the irresponsibility of big political parties, their craving for power and dependence on others for decision making.
 
 Leader Amrita Thapa presented a working paper on nationality and political crisis while advocate Dr Chandra Kant Gyawali about women’s role in national politics. RSS
