भाद्र १८ गते, २०६९ मा प्रकाशितKATHMANDU – The College of Buddhism and Himalayan Studies under the Lumbini Academy Foundation has launched the postgraduate course in Buddhism and Himalayan Studies.
The Lumbini University has given permission to the Foundation to run the course from this academic session.
Foundation Director Dr Ramesh Kumar Dhungel said the two-year course covers subjects like the history of Buddhism, the history of Tibetan Buddhism, Tibetan-Sanskrit-Pali languages, monastery heritages, the Buddhist communities in the Himalayan region and religions preceding Buddhism, among other subjects.
Dhungel said is the first time in the country that the curriculum has been developed and the course offered in higher studies. He expressed the hope that foreign students will also come here for studying the subject.
At present there are 32 students taking the course including the government employees. RSS
