KATHMANDU – Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) hiked the price of petroleum products and cooking gas effective from today. NOC spokesman Mukunda Prasad Dhungana said the price of petrol has been increased by five rupees per litre and that of kerosene and diesel by four rupees each. Similarly, the price of LPG gas has been hiked by Rs 55 per cylinder.
With this, petrol now costs Rs 125 per litre, kerosene and diesel Rs 97 per litre and LPG Rs 1,470 per cylinder. The price of domestic aviation fuel has been fixed at Rs 120 per litre.
According to Dhungel, NOC’s monthly loss even after the latest raise in the price of petroleum products stands at around Rs 736.2 million. RSS
