BAGLUNG – President of the Nepali Congress (NC), Sushil Koirala, has said that the NC is in favour of new election. Addressing the Dhaulagiri Zonal-level gathering organized by the Nepal Press Union, Dhaulagiri Coordination Committee here today, Koirala stressed on the dissolution of the government for national consensus saying no environment of trust would be created unless the government is changed.
Stating that the Constituent Assembly (CA) could be reinstated for a short period if reliable environment is created on the participation of the President and international communities, he said a national consensus government should be formed first for the same.
The NC President also urged all political parties to make efforts towards consensus and unity as it was the only alternative to give a political outlet in the country.Central members Arjun Narsingh KC, Arjun Prasad Joshi and Ratna Sherchan and Central Vice-President of NPU, Ramesh Paudel also expressed their views in the gathering.
