KATHMANDU, DEC 04 – The government on Tuesday appointed Chief Secretary Lila Mani Poudel as the Chairman of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA). Prior to this, Energy Minister or secretary at the Ministry used to be appointed as the chairman of the NEA.
A Cabinet meeting also appointed Rameshwor Yadav, who was selected through open competition, as the Executive Director of NEA.
Similarly, Digambar Jha was appointed the chairman of Nepal Telecommunications Authority. Jha had served as the Managing Director of Nepal Oil Corporation.
