KATHMANDU, DEC 13 – Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai has expressed his commitment to take initiatives to forge consensus saying that he would be even more unsuccessful if the political process failed.
“The success of this political process is my success,” said PM’s aide Bishwodip Panday quoting PM Bhattarai. “If this process fails, it would be nobody’s failure but mine.”
Saying that he is determined to conduct elections in April-May next year, the prime minister expressed his readiness to exhibit necessary flexibility to forge agreement to guarantee the election. “My initiatives will bring positive result by forging consensus within the next few days.”
According to Pandey, PM Bhattarai held consultations with various leaders of the political parties including Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala, Sher Bahadur Deuba, Ram Chandra Poudel, Krishna Prasad Sitaula, Arjun Narsingh KC, Narahari Acharya and Gagan Thapa.
