Govt gives Rs 500,000 for Gurung’s treatment

Om GurungKATHMANDU, AUG 15 – The government has decided to provide Rs 500,000 for the treatment of former chairman of the Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities ( NEFIN ).


A Cabinet meeting convened on Thursday decided to extend the financial aid to Gurung who has been suffering from kidney ailments.


According to sources, both of Gurung’s kidneys have stopped functioning. He has undergone treatment in various hospitals of Nepal and India.


Likewise, the government has promoted Nepal Army Major General Pawan Bahadur Pandey to the post of Lieutenant General, Minister for Information and Communications and government spokesperson Madhav Poudel informed.
