Special police team begins probe into Krishhna Adhikari’s murder

CHITWAN, AUGUST 21 – Probe into murder of Krishna Prasad Adhikari from Gorkha, Fujel has begun in Chitwan today.

Police SP Pradhyumna Karki informed Image Channel that the 7-member probe team formed under the convenorship of DSP Sanjaya Raut by the Chitwan district police office yesterday was set to begin the investigation process.

The probe got underway after the government attorney office issued a written advice to begin investigation into the case. SP Karki also said the legal hassles were still in place in the probe process.

Adhikari was kidnapped from Ratnanagar in Chitwan and shot dead by Maoist cadres nine years ago.

Meanwhile, the Adhikari couple who are staging a hunger strike at Bir Hospital, have kept firm on their stance on not ending the fast until the arrest of the guilty, as per the FIR filed by them.
