Tribhuvan University (TU) teachers have continued their sit-in protest at the university’s central office in Kirtipur on Tuesday as well.
The TU teachers had launched the sit-in on Monday under the leadership of the TU Teachers Association (TUTA) calling for the fulfillment of various demands.
The TUTA has accused the university administration of not implementing the agreement it had signed with the association on September 21, 2011 despite committing in writing to fulfill their 23-point demand.
As part of its sit-in protest program, the TUTA staged a two-hour-long sit-in on Monday and a three-hour sit-in on Tuesday from 10 a.m. The sit-in protest would continue until February 28, said the association. RSS
