Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Federal Affairs and Local Development, Prakash Man Singh, has said the local bodies’ election will be held soon after fulfilling the due process and method.
Addressing function in Mahendranagar today, DPM Singh said the date for the local election would be announced soon after revising some clauses of the Local Self-Governance Act.
The Deputy Prime Minister also said that the government and the Election Commission were preparing for the local elections.
He reiterated that a democratic constitution incorporating the aspirations of all the political parties including the ones remaining out of the Constituent Assembly would be promulgated.
Meanwhile, DPM Singh, in a meeting with local party workers here today, urged them to prepare for the local elections. SETOPATI
