This year’s School Leaving Certificate (SLC) examinations concluded today. A total of 566,085 students- 419,352 regular and 146,733 exempted- sat for the exam that began on March 20, according Deputy Controller at the Office of Controller of Examinations, Prahlad Aryal.
Despites problems in some centres, the examinations in overall concluded peacefully, he said and argued in the context of Terai districts, there were more and remarkable improvements in the operation of SLC compared to the previous years.
This year’s SLC was conducted through 1,836 exam centers across the country. A total of 53,076 human resources and 18, 360 security personnel were deputed to conduct the tests.
Controller of Examinations Bishnu Bahadur Dware pledged action against those teachers and employees caught violating the exam code of conduct. No one (accused) would be allowed to go scot free, he said.
Examinations at some centres in Terai districts which were disturbed due to disputes between security persons and students will be held again, he added. RSS
