The Higher Secondary Schools’ Association, Nepal (HISSAN), Dhanusha, has shut down all educational institutions in the district from today for an indefinite period to protest the alleged negligence of the Higher Secondary Education Board (HSEB), Janakpur, in registration of forms of different students.
Alleging that the HSEB failed to register the registration form of 247 students even after receiving the required fee for registration, the HISSAN, Dhanusha closed down the educational institutions after their initial efforts to resolve the problem went in vain.
The HISSAN has been launching programmes since the past week to exert pressure on the Board to resolve the problem by registering forms of the students, who failed to fill up their forms on time.
Meanwhile, Officiating Chief of the HSEB, Janakpur, Uttam Raj Nepal, said they have already communicated to the Examination Controller’s Office, Bhaktapur, about it and added that they were awaiting the Examination Controller’s Office’s direction.
He clarified that although the circular to the Examination Controller’s Office was made on March 11, no response has been received as of yet.
Meanwhile, the students too have come out in protest and helped close down all educational institutions. RSS
