Lalitpur District Court has convicted 12 members of the executive committee of the Unity Life International and given clean chits to 100 others.
A single bench of Judge Tek Bahadur Kunwar passed the verdict on Monday.
The Court slapped 12 officials with three year jail terms and a fine of Rs 10.6 million each.
The government had taken action against the Unity Life International (ULI), a company offering social security schemes without legal permission and running a flawed binary network marketing model based on pyramid schemes.
23 senior officials are still at large.
The Company had brought 3, 68, 710 clients into its net and raked in over 3.79 billion rupees.
