Himal Sharma reelected as ANNISU-R Chairman

All Nepal National Independent Students Union-Revolutionary (ANNISU-R), student wing of the UCPN (Maoist), has reelected Himal Sharma as the Union’s chairman for the second consecutive term.
The Maoist leadership decided to retain Sharma as the Union chairman following a dispute over the election process on Wednesday.
A meeting of the party top leaders held at Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Wednesday took a decision to this effect.
ANNISU-R leaders have criticized Sharma for being involved in student politics for so long.
Sharma, who is in his mid-40s, have three children. He had even contested electio from Kathmandu-6 constituency in the last Constituent Assembly elections.
Sharma’s eldest son Saral is a student of medical science in China. Sharma had once called him back to Nepal saying he should not act like a privileged leader and send his children to foreign countries for higher education.
But Sharma’s move was merely a publicity stunt. Saral is now  back to China to complete the MBBS course. SETOPATI
