Maoist leader Top Bahadur Rayamajhi said on Tuesday that his party will move the International Criminal Court against Prime Minister Sushil Koirala for his involvement in the hijacking of Nepal Airlines plane in 1973 if the government doesn’t immediately release those arrested on the charge of murdering Krishna Prasad Adhikari of Fujel.
“11 of our party activists have been implicated in the murder of Krishna Prasad Adhikari. We will file legal cases against the leaders of all the parties. We will not spare anyone,” said Rayamajhi at a talks program in the capital.
He warned that his party will move the International Criminal Court against Koirala for hijacking the plane, adding that the UML leaders will also be brought to justice for murdering people during the Jhapa insurgency.
According to him, these crimes committed by Koirala and UML leaders fall under the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court.
“The government has taken actions against our cadres because Nanada Prasad Adhikari has been staging a hunger strike. How will the government respond if 18,000 of our party activists stage a hunger strike?”
He argued that his party will disrupt the parliamentary proceedings and take to the streets if the criminal cases against the cadres are not withdrawn.
