Vice chairman of the CPN-Maoist CP Gajurel said on Tuesday that the government should not hold local elections without federalizing the country.
“We should not let the government hold local elections without promulgating a new constitution,” Gajurel told jounrlaists in Surkhet.
He termed the preparation for local elections ‘a regressive move’.
Gajurel also dismissed the speculation that his party is unifying with the UCPN (M). SETOPATI
