23 May, Damak – A trend of unification between cooperatives has increased in Jhapa district.The Parichaya Women Saving and Credit Cooperative of Dhaijan-8 and Bharosa Women Saving and Credit Cooperatives of Mechinagar-4 merged with each other and converted into Parichaya Women Saving and Credit Cooperatives.
Similarly, Anmaol Betel Nut Production Cooperatives of Shantinagar-5 and Nagbeli Agricultural Cooperatives of Shantinagar also merged with each other as Nagbeli Betel Nut Production Cooperatives Ltd.
Before this, Satasi Honey Bee Agricultural Cooperatives and Satasi Agricultural Cooperatives united with each other and converted into Satasi Honey Bee Agricultural Cooperatives.The cooperatives were merged as per the recent decision of the Division Cooperatives Office, Jhapa.
Division Officer Netra Prasad Ghimire said that unification between cooperatives with same nature was good. A total of 715 cooperatives have been registered so far in the district. RSS
