Seti river erosion threatens 40 households

Damauli, June 2: Some 40 houses at Bhimad bazaar are at risk due to the erosion by Seti River. The houses have been put at the risk after the river started eroding the area every year.
According to the Seti River Control and Bazaar Management Committee, the locals of the area forced to go to another place during night due to the fear as the houses are at the high-risk of erosion.
Committee Secretary Raju Pariyar said that they feel themselves insecure with the beginning of rainy season every year due to lack of embankment at the River.
Similarly, Committee Treasurer Buddhiraj Lamsal said that they are in worry after the budget allocated by the Ministry of Local Development through the Water Borne Disaster Management Committee for the past few years, has been curtailed since the past two years.  SETOPATI
