Yarcha, cash worth Rs. 40 million looted in Dolpa



Yarsagumba and cash worth Rs. 40 million has been looted at Naure highlands of Phoksundo VDC in Dolpa District this morning, police said.



A group of some 12 armed people looted the cash and the Yarsagumba or the caterpillar fungus, a highly-prized herb from a tent when the yarsagumba traders and the people who had gone there to collect it had been sleeping.



The assailants barged into the tent all of a sudden in the middle of the night and threatened the occupants to lay prostate while they looted the cash and the prized yarsagumba.



A team of the Nepalese Army and another team of 11 police personnel from the District Police Office Dolpa have left for the incident site which is situated inside the Shey-Phoksundo National Park, Chief District Officer (CDO) of Dolpa Krishna Khanal told RSS.



Similarly, the Nepalese Army said that a team has left from its Rigmo post to the incident site soon after getting information about the incident. The incident site is three days’ trek from the district headquarters, Dunai. SETOPATI
