Pakistan is to host the 19th SAARC Summit in its capital, Islamabad in 2016.
This was announced at the closing ceremony of the 18th SAARC Summit held in Kathmandu on November 27.
In his vote of thanks at the closing ceremony, Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif thanked the Heads of State and Government for providing the opportunity to his country to host the next Summit.
Before this, Pakistan has already hosted the Fourth Summit on 29-31 December 1998 and the 12th Summit on 4-6 January 2004. RSS
