A large plot of land registered in the name of late King Birendra is lying unused.
The land, covering an area of 34 bighas at Latikoili VDC in the district was thought to be brought under the ownership of the Nepal Trust after 2062/63 movement.
It was said a mansion was to be built for the former monarch on this plot.
“Though there are plots of land in different parts of the country under the ownership of the late King were brought under the ownership of Nepal Trust, this land is still in the name of the late King,” Menaka Khadka, survey officer at the District Survey Office, Surkhet said. RSS
