India provides 35 vehicles to CIAA

The Government of India has gifted 35 vehicles to the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA).
Indian Ambassador to Nepal Ranjit Rae handed over the keys of the vehicles to CIAA Chief Lokman Singh Karki amid a program organized at CIAA Office today. The vehicles include 15 jeeps, 15 pick-up vans and five cars.
Speaking at the program, CIAA Chief Karki thanked the Government of India for the support and appreciated Rae’s individual role to this effect.
Karki said the bilateral relations between Nepal and India date back to time immemorial and marked by goodwill, cordiality and mutual understanding. The bilateral relations are not only based on proximity but also on socio-cultural and economic interdependency, he said.
“I take this forum to extend our relation in the field of corruption control, strengthening mutual efforts in promoting and maintaining good governance in respective countries and fighting corruption,” Karki said.
Similarly, Indian Ambassador Rae said the latest efforts made by Nepal at corruption control were laudable and said his country would provide possible support in this regard. Rae also praised CIAA’s efforts under Karki’s leadership in corruption control and said India believed in transparency and a corruption-free rule. RSS
