5 persons including 1 each in Teku, Matatirtha and Samakhusi died in Kathmandu, said Nepal Police officer Hemant Pal. Earlier, reporter Kishore Budhathoki said from Sindhupalchwok that a total of 8 people died so far in the district.
Likewise, 10 people died in Dolakha, 4 in Sindupalchowk, 2 in Sindhuli and 1 in Sunsari due to the quake.
Police offier Pal said that 32 sustained injuries in Bhaktapur, Likewise, he said 72 were injured in Lalitpur, while the number stands at 73 in Kathmandu.
According to him, a 4-storeyed building collpased in Bhaktapur due to the quake, but was yet to receive details on it. He further said that 4 police personnels – 2 each inRamachhep and Sindhupalchwok – were injured in the earthquake.
Additionally, 12 persons were injured in Sindhupalchowk while about 90 percent buildings in Dolakha are estimated to have damaged. SETOPATI
