Nepal Friendship Association, Macau, provided financial support to 35 earthquake-affected families in Raitar from Gokarneshwor Municipality-6, Kathmandu, amid a program on Thursday.
Chairman of the Association Harka Bahadur Kunwar said that the association provided Rs 3,000 to each family of the Dalit community to support them build temporary shelters. The government had earlier provided Rs 15,000 to each family of the community for the same purpose.
The association also distributed clothes to 25 Dalit students and five staffs at the hostel of the Himshrinkhala Academy, said Principal of the Academy Narayan Bhakta Shrestha.
“We provided some support in our capacity after acknowledging the pathetic condition of the people in the Dalit settlement. We will visit Nepal again after collecting more cash and relief materials,” said Kunwar. RSS
