CPN (UML)-aligned Youth Association Nepal stresses for youth-centric budget

CPN (UML)-aligned Youth Association Nepal (YAN) today submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli calling for steps insuring youth-centric budget.
The YAN delegation led by its Chairman Rajiv Pahari reached the PM’s official residence at Baluwatar to draw attention towards the need to prioritize youths when building the next budget and increment of employment opportunities among others.
The YAN representatives have emphasized on ending the violence against women (VAW), particularly in Tarai, social justice, upholding equality and establishment of a fund for managed handling of remittance so that the money can be channelled for investment in bigger projects.
In response to the memo, PM Oli termed the issues raised by YAN as serious in nature and pledged the government would move forward with determination to resolve it, YAN Spokesperson, Prabhat Bikram Katuwal, said.
PM Oli further alerted the youths towards the attempt of ‘various international power centres’ to use Nepal as a laboratory and the need for unity among them.
