Media sector will be managed: Information Minister

Minister for Information and Communications, Sherdhan Rai, today said the media sector will be streamlined with clear standards set. 
Addressing a programme held on the fourth anniversary of television channel Bhakti Darshan in Pashupati, Minister Rai said many media outlets opened without clear guidelines but ‘Bhakti Darshan’ has its certain objective. 
“The television should move forward representing the spirituality of the people of various ethnic groups, languages and religion,” he said. 
On the occasion, Osho Tapoban’s Swami Ananda Arun said peace will remain elusive without spirituality. 
Nepali Congress central member, Arjun Narsingh KC, said that none of the political ideologies had the scale of the principle of equanimity as in the oriental philosophy. 
Television Chairman, Raju Prasad Kandel, briefed the gatherers of the contribution the broadcaster made in spiritual sector. 
The television feted Additional Inspector General of Police (AIG), Bigyan Raj Sharma, for his contribution in maintaining peace and security in the aftermath of the earthquake and also Pashupati Area Development Trust Member Secretary, Dr Govinda Tondon. RSS
