Police here has arrested four people including a hotel proprietor on the charge of sexually abusing a woman and her underage daughter.
The woman used to work at Hotel Shuvadin at Diktel, the district headquarters. Those arrested in this connection are the hotel proprietor Hari Prasad Acharya, Kabiraj Rijal, Kopiladevi Rijal and Tilak Karki. Kabiraj is the son and Kopiladevi the wife of the hotel’s managing director, Dil Narayan Rijal while Karki is a worker there.
The process for action against them has been initiated after filing cases against Hari Prasad, Kabiraj and Tilak, police said. Kopiladevi has been detailed for questioning, it is learnt.
They were arrested on Monday night at the written directive of the National Human Rights Commission citing that it would be difficult for the police to conduct investigation if complaints were not filed against the perpetrators, in case the issue was settled through mutual agreement.
It is said the woman and her three-year-old daughter came under sexual abuse by the perpetrators second time. Earlier, the woman had filed a complaint against her perpetrators but it was settled without any police case. RSS
