The meeting of the Legislature-Parliament today has passed the government’s policies and programmes.
The parliament had held discussions on the policies and programmes for four days. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli had responded lawmakers’ queries on the policies and programmes.
After PM’s response to the queries, the policies and programmes was tabled for endorsement and it was passed by the majority votes of the parliament.
The motion proposed by the CPN (UML) chief whip Bhanubhakta Dhakal and supported by the UCPN (Maoist) chief whip Hitraj Pandey thanked President Bidya Devi Bhandari for presenting the policies and programmes in the parliament on May 8.
Earlier, the amendment proposals registered by the opposition Nepali Congress lawmaker Ramesh Lekhak, Nepal Workers and Peasants Party lawmakers Prem Suwal, Anuradha Thapa and Khambuwan National Front’s lawmaker Ram Kumar Rai were rejected by the majority of the parliament. RSS
