The responsibility of constructing the collective shelters for the earthquake survivors has been given to the Nepalese Army in Gorkha district.
Accordingly, the army has already started the construction works at Keraunja, Swanra, Kharibot, Muchchok and Thumi VDCs in the district. It will soon start constructing the collective shelters in Ghyachchok, Barpak, Laprak, Gumda and Saurpani VDCs also.
Before this, the responsibility of constructing the collective shelters for the earthquake survivors in the latter five VDCs was given to the Housing Division Office, Gorkha.
The office although called for tenders for the construction two times, there was no response and hence the decision to assign the responsibility to the Nepalese Army. RSS
