The sixth general convention of the Professional Alliance for Peace and Democracy (PAPAD) has elected a new leadership under the chair of Bishwanath Pyakurel.
Pyakurel won the election for the new leadership by garnering 371 votes which are 114 more against his competitor Baburam Thapa.
The 68-member new working committee comprises Pramel Kumar Khanal as senior vice chair, while Lal Bahadur Pakhrin, Udaya Sharma, Yogendra Yadav, Krishnaman Shrestha, Gambhir Lal Shrestha, Shanker Subedi, Deepak Raj Subedi and Deepak Subedi as Vice Chairs.
Similarly, Bishnu Lamichhane is General Secretary, and Purna Joshi, Santosh Kumar Singh, Gagan Singh Bista, Kishor Kumar Nepali and Ram Prasad Rimal are Deputy General Secretaries in the new leadership.
Likewise, Sita Kumari Ojha, Bhakta Raj Pokhrel and Naryan Kumar Maskey are the new secretaries while Shyam Prasad Pandey and Bholanath Upadhyay are the co-treasures. RSS
