The meeting of the Public Account Committee today has decided to call the Information Minister and the Information Secretary to take the information why its direction delivered to Nepal Television was not implemented yet.
The committee had directed the Ministry to put the NTV General Manger and some other officials away from their responsibility until the probe committee’s report was implanted. A probe committee was formed to investigate into the embezzlement connected with the GM and other officials.
The committee has stated that why its direction was not implemented, adding that the Ministry surprisingly replied with taking suggestions from the Attorney General rather implementing its directive.
Lawmakers Mohan Bahadur Basnet, Dhanraj Gurung, Bharat Kumar Sah, Rajan KC, Ram Hari Khatiwada, Minendra Rijal, Balkrishna Khand, Usha Gurung had opined for taking action against the culprits involved in the embezzlement. RSS
