The meeting today of the Nepali Congress, CPN (Maoist Centre) and protesting United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) has formed a nine-member committee to prepare a draft to discuss addressing the UDMF’s demands and their involvement in the next government.
The committee includes three leaders each from the NC, Maoist Centre and UDMF while the name list of the members will be finalised till the evening, said NC leader Bimalendra Nidhi.
“The meeting was called to garner support of the UDMF in the election of new Prime Minister. The meeting centered on the first point of the seven-point agreement reached between the NC and Maoist Centre before the fall of the incumbent government,” he said.
